This apparatus is designed for hindlimb unloading studies in mice. Using a system of linear guideways, two subjects can be supported independently from freely-moving carriages which will stay overhead as they move around to maintain a consistent degree of suspension and percent of hindlimb unloading. Each subject is supported by a load cell which actively measures and logs the weight being supported, enabling validation that the desired hindlimb unloading was achieved throughout a trial. The current values can additionally be monitored from a live display.
